Problem with hard disk showing wrong size

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Just installed Unraid version 7.2.3 and noticed one peculiar thing. One hard disk showing wrong size. It's a Seagate Ironwolf 8 TB. For some reason I don't understand showing up only 4 TB. My parity drive is the same brand and the size is 8 TB. My question now is how do I increase the size to 8 TB? Is it possible? Btw I have search for similar problem in the forum but found none.

All solutions are welcome :)

Attaching a picture from my settings in main.

Attach Diagnostics ZIP to your NEXT post in this thread.

Also, the results of this command

lsblk

That will happen if that was the largest existing partition on the disk. Since it is what Unraid will import, assuming the disk is still empty, you can do this:

Tools - New Config - Keep All - Apply

Then on Main, click on disk 1 and then "ERASE"

Now start the array and reformat disk1.

Thank you! Now the drive is showing up 8 TB.
