Unraid connect will only work with tailscale VPN enabled

Featured Replies

New to unraid. Fighting with remote access though unraid connect. Installed tailscale and it will connect through tailscales VPN but not through a mobile network. without using tailscale.Unraid docs do not exactly jive with what I'm seeing. They say no manual port forwarding is needed but Limewire is saying it is required - last they knew. I have a certificate, seems valid. Wont let me enable remote access, keeps reverting to disabled. Upnp is enabled in Unraid connect settings and in router. Should I try Static setting? If so, what do I use for a remote access WAN port? The guide says nothing about authorization rules/modes do I need to set those up? I'm pulling my hair out. Seems like they do not keep up with config instructions when they change something. The video on the unraid connect ap and all the docs and all the youtube videos I can find do not have the same set up in the settings

AFAIK port forwarding is required with Connect.

Why not just use Tailscale? That doesn't require it.
