3x UNRAID Licenses but one is now saying "Trial Expired"... What can be done?

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I have 3x UNRAID licenses, but I recently plugged in my third "spare" that I intended to upgrade to the latest verison and then plan to use to build a third server, I had previously purchased all three of these (all three are the legacy lifetime PRO licenses) but when I booted the USB stick, the web interface is complaining that my trial has expired ☹️

I have all three of my original purchase/invoice emails, but currently only 2x USB sticks are working (the third is technically working from a hardware perspective, but the license is complaining that it has expired).

I was wondering what I could do about this? If I was to supply all three invoice emails to LimeTech (or they could just check my account - I can see from https://account.unraid.net/purchases/orders all of my previous orders and upgrade paths), would they be able to do something (eg provide me with a new activation key OR see from my email address that I only have 2x USB's working and could offer a solution for the third to be corrected?).

If anyone has been in a similar situation, I'd love to hear how you were able to resolve the issue/offer any advice.

Kind regards,

Bobby

Verify that this stick has the appropriate Pro.key file in the config folder and no other.

Thanks for your response, Kilrah!

Strangely, there is only a Trial.key file in the /boot/config directory.

That said however, I just checked my previous USB stick backups (thank GOD for backups!) and EACH of them have the correct Pro.lic files... should it just be a case of copying the one that DOES NOT MATCH my other two (working) USB drives to the USB drive and this should fix it?

Really praying that this will work - what do you suggest?

You can try until you find the correct one; you can check in Tools - Registration. Only the correct one will work and allow the array to be started.

Thank you, both... I'll give this a try next week (when I'm a little less busy)!
