March 1Mar 1 Hi, probably a quick one to answer for someone who has been living Unraid longer than me, but as I couldnt find anything specific about this elsewhere, I thought it best to post my question here..I have just finished formatting two drives and getting them mounted to the array, but i noticed as soon as they came up they had a chunk of space taken up straight away. (See attached) - is this expected and if so what’s the allocation for ? I can see they are the same amount and combined at close in size to the 4Gb drive I already had in there.

March 1Mar 1 Community Expert It's normal with XFS, it's used for allocation structures, journal, etc
March 1Mar 1 Community Expert With XFS when you format the disk you lose about 2% used for creating the empty file system
