Safe way to copy from one unraid server to another

Featured Replies

Hey there

I have two identical Unraid servers one is Development and one is Production. I have my docker apps and settings all perfect and set in development and I want to copy it exactly to my Production unraid server. What is the best way to accomplish this?

Your configuration is in the config folder on flash drive. It contains all settings made from the webUI, including docker templates. Of course, the license .key file in config will be different, as will super.dat (array disk assignments) and pools folder in config.

User shares are simply the top level folders on array disks and pools.

When you create a user share, Unraid creates top level folders named for the share on array and pools as needed in conformance with settings for the user shares.

Conversely, any top level folder on array disks and pools is automatically part of a user share named for the folder. If you don't make settings for a user share, it has default settings.

In addition to the docker templates on flash (in config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user), each of your containers will typically have a folder in the appdata user share. The templates are needed to work with the containers in the webUI. They are created/edited when you add/edit a container.
