Fresh Start

Im running the latest beta of unraid, with a bunch of plugins and stuff installed.  I messed up a bunch, and would like to start fresh.  Is there a way to do that without losing all my data, and parity?

Quite easily, take a screenshot of your "devices" page so you can see all of the disk assignments as well as a screenshot of "shares." If in doubt then it might pay to take a screenshot of all of your tabs so you can double check what settings you had before, you could backup your config files but if you want a full cleaninstall then best to just add the settings you need again after. Once you have done this, save them somewhere other than on your unRAID server then download a clean install from here.

Power down your server, remove the flash and format it on your PC. Follow the steps included in the download for a new install and once you are up and running all you have to do is make sure you assign the disks back in the same order they were in before (as per your screenshots) and setup your shares again. You can be back up and running in less than 10 minutes.

Also remember to back up and restore your key file for your license. Other than that, chickensoup's method is perfect.

Thanks for your great advice!  However i was reading on the FAQ and read up about the super.dat file.  I copied that and my key, then formatted the flash drive, and reinstalled it.  It seemed to work and I haven't had any problems.  Was that okay to do, or will it cause problems down the road.

Sorry for leaving this out. Glad to hear it is all working well, you shouldn't have any problems.
