New pool not formatting

Featured Replies

I just added hot swap bays to my server with an HBA card and 3 x 4tb IronWolf drives. I added them to a pool and when I go to format them formatting pops up for a second and nothing happens. What should I do now?

Pool cfg is incorrect; there are only 3 devices assigned, but it has 5 members.

Click the first pool device, then REMOVE POOL, then add a new pool with the same name and 3 slots, and try again.

If you mean shrink a zfs pool, that is not supported.
