Active Pool Devices Showing as Unassigned

Featured Replies

I'm running 7.2.4. Have this issue where I've got 12 drives in a zpool, but only 8 of them are showing up in the Pool Devices section. The other 4 show as unassigned. They're definitely all in the same zpool though. Is there any way to rectify this?

The other issue is this "Unmountable: wrong or no file system" error.

I did manually create this zpool via the command line a while back, due to the limitations of the webUIs ability to handle different sized drives at the time. Each of the mirror sets in the pool are using identical drives.

Just some advice on using the forum.

When you edit a post to add your diagnostics, anybody who has already read the thread, such as somebody who was trying to help, will not know there is anything new to see and so may never visit the thread again.

That is why I always say

Attach Diagnostics ZIP to your NEXT post in this thread.

Now that I have made a new post, there is something new in the thread to see.

Try this:

Pool must be export first zpool export bigpool

Now reimport the poo using the GUI with all devices:

on main click on the first device for that pool and then "remove pool"

back on main, create a new pool with the same name and 2 slots

assign the pool device(s), leave the filesystem set to auto

start the array to import the pool, if it fails post new diags.
