How do I config a VM to use a wireguard tunnel (wg0)

vpn provider Private Internet Access aka pia

Just stated using wireguard. I had two docker containers using vpn within the container. I have now created a wireguard tunnel (wg0) and now the containers use this instead of each having their own vpn tunnel. Works great and saving me vpn connections ( I’m limited to 10).

My question is, can I use this same tunnel (wg0) for a VM? I have a Linux VM and installed the vpn client provided by my vpn service but would rather it use the wireguard tunnel. I tried to edit the VM but in the drop down menu to select the network I don’t see the wireguard tunnel.

TIA
