Docker config backup/restore after accidental deletion?

Featured Replies

How I deleted the files in "/boot/config/plugins/compose.manager" or something like that is not important. I do however need help trying to remove this rusty nail out of my bum. Please don't waste time with the "well just restore from your backup - jerk"! If I had backups I wouldn't be wasting everyone's time. The docker containers are still running since the deletion so I hope there is a way to recreate the configs via the running containers? I would even take a way to output the running config to screen so I can manually recreate if necessary. Please help and thanks in advance!

You can probably piece a lot of that together with docker inspect at the command line.

Thanks @trurl ,

Noting for the future oopsies,

Docker Documentation

docker inspect

In my example: "docker inspect homebridge"

All the details I need to manually recreate the containers. I had hope for something cleaner but idiots who don't backup can't be picky!
