March 21Mar 21 I noticed a smart error pop up recently for my parity drive, and a number of notifications/warnings from Unraid with an increasing "seek error rate (failing now)" value. March 22Mar 22 Community Expert No attributes are currently FAILING NOW, but if those errors keep climbing, it is not a good sign; run an extended SMART test.
March 24Mar 24 Author @JorgeB Doesn't seem like there was much of a difference with the extended test? https://pastebin.com/cY0MesDMIt looks like I haven't gotten a seek error rate warning since the one in the screenshot either.
March 24Mar 24 Community Expert The extended test passed, so the disk is OK for now. You may keep it for now and keep monitoring for any more warnings, but if they keep happening, it may be better to replace it.
