so i converting my 1 server over to zfs and so far i only done the cache drive that hosts the appdata vms isos docker

but i getting another error i tried googling but it didnt help i not sure i only have a hand full of dockers

i ran

docker network prune

then rebooted but it came back so i dunno how to fix that error

These two are the problem. You can reconfigure them, or it may be easier to just recreate the Docker image:

@JorgeB ya what does that mean i do use br0.20 10 30 40 for different vlans

is it one program that is using 2 different networks its saying?

and how does this happen?

is it from failed installations and where u gotta re install them as i have extreme dial up internet speeds now a days so dockers are a pain to install as the link u sent about image being corrupt i guess just easier to re install

but on this machine i learning on its zfs but from what i read you dont want docker directory but a docker image... but that was a few years ago i guess... is this still an issue or not anymore?

and i read you wanna switch to overlay2 but i dont see it under docker settings

I recommend always using an image; a Docker folder, in my experience, can cause strange issues.

oh ok so should switch back to docker image then

and is this overlay2 default ed on as driver says native?

learn something new everyday... hopefully sometime this year i finally upgrade 3megabit internet to like fiber 1gb so doing any installs wont take several days at times lol

but always still learning this os something new to learn all the time

It will depend on the user requirements; it can be a good option if you, for example, value checksums or snapshots.

i have no idea at the moment just files to backup to the server media files, documents, photos, game installers, app installers family docs videos

i just learning snapshots at the moment in his videos... i never tried really cuz when i started with freenas i didnt have enough same size drives and the ecc i needed supposedly i never continuned and i found unraid and went down that route with 6 unraid servers.. as it was basiclly like Windows Home Server where i transitioned from..

i take it the checksums are something it checks the files regullary? i just like to make sure my files are protected from ransomware so thats why i backup so much but then when automated.. the rsyncs probably could delete files on the backup servers if the ransomware erased my files or so.. so always looking to improve things

so ya i wish there were some good video setups about the best ways to like fortify your files from an attack like that.. and best schedules.. i just try to watch videos and do my best from that

ya i done the zfs convert folders to datasets , and cache pool, so far i currently on the convert array but for this 1 server i trying on its only got 1 array disk

i didnt wanna try this on my 108tb array main server where everything running..so been following his videos to try it..

i also had a memstore error yesterday i noticed on my main server not sure what caused it... so i just testing on this one server incase this zfs causes issues its not big deal.. jus wish hard drives and ssds be cheaper now but keeps going up now

@JorgeB so i deleted the docker image rebooted.. reinstalled the dockers reboot

but that overlap pool still there

have to figure out also why my vlans arent getting ip address's either they should get an ip but getting 169 so cant find dhcp server i guess

so i guess i solved it... the pool overlap was due to the vlans not getting an ip address and just getting 169.x

when i figured out my switch wasnt trunking my server... i fixed it rebooted server and the pool overlap is gone and the vlans back to getting seperate ips
