Lenovo P710 Workstation

I’m planning to migrate from a QNAP TS‑453A to a Lenovo P710 workstation.

I have 4 x 8 TB WD Gold drives installed, plus a 5th identical drive that I cannot mount internally in the P710, and I’m wondering whether it makes sense to use that fifth drive externally and, if so, what setup you would recommend.

I also have a 3 TB Iomega backup drive that uses FireWire 800, but it seems difficult to find a FireWire 800 PCIe card that both works reliably and is known to be compatible with unRAID. Would also you recommend to have a separate HDD externally ? I wish to have separate pool for this and install no critical data.

The QUADRO P4000 8G has an add value ? I’m going to use it mainly for Plex and Backup.

What kind of DVR would you recommend to install on this machine that would be easy to be compatible with UNRAID and Plex ?

Thanks for support
