/data/media/tv

What do you get from command line with this?

ls -lah /mnt/user/data/media

This shouldn't cause your problem, but you might try to fix it anyway:

Apr 8 16:50:33 MHSTower root: Fix Common Problems: Warning: Share data set to use pool download, but files / folders exist on the ssd_cache pool

Simplest way would be to use the built-in File Manager

I would also look at this share:

I suspect its name could be Media and might contain your missing files. As you can see the share has files on eight different disks.

I also see this:

And the Configuration file for the Share says that the Cache pool for this Share is 'download'. What is going on with the 'ssd_cache' entry?

OK, let's go back to this

looking from krusader on the unraid host or through cli

drwxrwxrwx 1 nobody users 0 Apr 2 17:01 movies/

drwxrwxrwx 1 nobody users 4096 Jan 31 10:53 music/

drwxrwxrwx 1 nobody users 4096 Mar 2 17:09 pictures/

drwxrwxrwx 1 nobody users 4096 Apr 6 02:09 tv/

root@MHSTower:/mnt/user/data/media# cd tv

root@MHSTower:/mnt/user/data/media/tv# ls

ls: reading directory '.': Input/output error

This seems to indicate some problem listing the contents of the subfolder in user shares.

Maybe we can narrow it down to the array or the pools.

What do you get from command line with this?

ls /mnt/user0/data/media/tv

and this?

ls /mnt/download/data/media/tv

and this?

ls /mnt/ssd_cache/data/media/tv

Then I was able to get a directory listing from this

ls /mnt/download/data/media/tv

ls /mnt/download/data/media/tv had a IO error on a folder

ls /mnt/ssd_cache/data/media/tv
ls: cannot access '/mnt/ssd_cache/data/media/tv': No such file or directory

Doesn't look like you ever did this

running Tools->New Permissions on the ‘data’ share

  • Community Expert

Unrelated, but you may have a container constantly restarting and spamming the log. Check the uptime for all containers and look for one that always has a few seconds or minutes.

  • Community Expert

Have you done New Permissions on the data share yet?

Note that the user0 is not a typo. I really meant it. That is not the command you ran.

ls /mnt/user0/data/media/tv gets a full directory listing.

Looks like we have narrowed the problem down to the download pool.

The syslog rotated due to all the container related spam, see if you can fix that, but in any case, reboot to clear the logs and post new diags after array start.

Your download pool seems to be the problem, but it is NTFS. I don't know how well Unraid can fix that filesystem since support for that is new.

You might have to pull it out and see what Windows can do with it.

Or just copy what you can from it and reformat as XFS/btrfs/ZFS

Thank you all so very much for the assistance on this and the other errors.
