ZFS pool shows "unmountable disks in the pool" but still works fine in unraid..

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

So i just converted my regular Unraid pool to a ZFS pool, i rsynced 20tb away, removed default unraid pool. created ZFS instead, 2 dataset's and rsynced my 20TB back to my ZFS pool.

However during my ZFS setup and a random reboot at some point my unraid is showing "Unmountable: unsupported or no file system" next to my ZFS pool, along with "unmountable disks in the pool" at the bottom of the page and i should format them again...

I've tried the following so far...

  • remove the pool & added it back in unraid gui

  • done zpool export/import

  • zfs scrub (1 corrupt file, removed and re scrubed again ( no errors ))

  • countless reboots

  • google searching...

i know other people have had similar issues aswell - but so far i haven't been able to resolve my issue based on similar posts...

hope some experienced unraid/zfs/linux people here can help resolve this...

had a wierd error with "apps" tab in unraid would get some kind of http error that it could not connect and fetch apps to see from app store in unraid... so i did a reboot...

and guess what now ZFS is OK in unraid including "APPS" tab... fucking strange - i've rebooted unraid a million times in the last few days and now it randomly works again with ZFS no longer showing "Unmountable: unsupported or no file system" next to it, aswell as disks ready to format...

Recommend checking the logs in a few hours or a couple of days to see if call traces are no longer showing.
