Unassigned Devi’s Mount Fail Error

Featured Replies

I have a 10TB drive that was working fine until I restarted the server and ever since it gives me a fail error when I try to mount it. I deleted the partition and reformatted, refreshed in the unassigned device panel and still gives me the error. I can plug it into my Linux laptop and it works so I’m not sure what to do to fix it.

Try changing the mount point name by clicking on it in UD

I tried changing the mount point name and that gave me a fail error too. Here’s the screenshot of the unassigned Devices. Thank so much for the help.

Try uninstalling the UD plugin, then delete its folder from /boot/config/plugins and reinstall again.

This looks more like a UD issue, it may be worth reporting it in the plugin support thread. Do you have a different disk you could connect, and does that work?

I connected a different device to the server through the USB and it mounted fine, so it's definitely something with that drive. It's really frustrating because it's a new 10TB drive I was using to back stuff up.
