June 15, 201214 yr I have a MBD-X9SCM-F motherboard, and it puts the headers for power/reset/etc above the RAM slots when most motherboards put them on the other side of the board. The Norco 4224's cables are not long enough to go there. I'm about 2 inches off, and i'm surprised no one has mentioned this on the forums. Am I missing something, or do I need to extend these cables somehow?
June 15, 201214 yr You could try something like these. power LED: http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&q=power+led+extension&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&biw=1235&bih=649&wrapid=tlif133977573032310&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=4545377142732641101&sa=X&ei=E1vbT6ekEejs2AW72_nMCA&ved=0CHcQ8wIwAA Reset switch: http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0327276 This one should work for all two pin types.
June 15, 201214 yr Are you sure they're fully extended? I have no issues with mine - there is even a good 10cm of slack.

Yup, I have the 120mm fan cage that has different holes in it, not sure if it matters. Maybe the cable length is not standard from case to case? Looks like I will simply turn it on/off using IPMI. Thanks guys.
June 17, 201214 yr I have 3 of the same combo with 3 different versions of the chassis. They all fit with plenty of slack...
