Solved - flash/cache/disk1/disk2 shares

Featured Replies

I am running unRaid 5.0-rc4 Plus

Windows 7

If I enter \\tower in folder view I have a list of all my user shares as expected.

I also have disk1 disk2 flash and cache.

Is there a way to exclude those from being shared? It's kinda pointless to have restrictions on shares when you can just bypass the shares and go straight to disk1/disk2. I also don't want just anybody wife/kids being able to access flash and cache cause I see no way of putting restrictions on those drives.

I found an option under share settings to exclude disk1/disk2, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

On the shares tab you have the option for Disk Shares, you can change it to Don't export.  I am on 4.7 but would imagine 5 has to have the same or similar option. I leave them exported but hidden for managment purposes.

I just found it on the main page. I feed stupid!

If anybody else has this question, click on disk#/flash/cache on the main page and you can access all the share settings there.

On my setup I still export them, but as hidden - then if need be - I can access them direct by adding /diskX at then end of the share address....
