[7.2.5] Unraid locks up when Intel A380 is being used

Featured Replies

As stated in the title, I've got an Intel A380 in my system. However, if I try to use Plex with transcoding or Tdarr for example, after a few seconds, the entire system locks up. I can't fathom why.

Version 7.2.2 is the last stable release on my system, 7.2.3 and onwards has this lock up issue. I've tried to capture syslog from that time, but logging to the system itself (or a separate server for that matter) doesn't provide anything meaningful. I hope the diagnostic zip has something meaningful to someone else, as I don't know where to look at this point.

System specs:
- ASUS PRIME B550 PLUS with BIOS version 3606 (was on 3404 prior to making this post, same issue)
- AMD Ryzen 5600
- 4x16 GB Corsair 3200 MTs RAM
- Corsair RM650 PSU
- Asrock A380
- Intel X520 10G NIC

This is from my remote syslog server, at the time it locked up. There's nothing of value from what I gather, nor did the video output of the Unraid machine show anything except a frozen screen.

Thank you for reading this (and possibly taking the time to reply).

Edit:
Reverted to 7.2.2, which ran fine for 3,5 months. Suddenly that also freezes. I'm kinda lost.

That suggests the OS is not the problem; it could be a hardware issue or a Plex update that broke something.

After checking out https://forums.unraid.net/topic/198203-at-a-loss-unraid-keeps-crashing-and-no-logsevidenceartifacts-left-behind-are-helping-figure-it-out I have gone the way of trying the XE driver.

I can confirm this is more stable, as the i915 driver would've locked up in the same strange way as in that post. Running 7.3.0-rc1 at the moment.

Going to try to source/fabricate an XE compatible Tdarr container, if that's stable, I'd deem i915 the culprit. I got GPU hang issues with linuxserver/ffmpeg:latest trying to encode with h264_qsv, so I wonder how it'll go.
