How can a revert back to 7.2.4 after upgrading to 7.2.5?

I’m encountering a lot of issues with 7.2.5 that didn’t exist prior to my upgrade.

Is it possible to downgrade back to 7.2.4?

Should be an option under Tools for Downgrade OS

I also had too many glitches with 7.2.5, so I went back to 7.2.4.

I was able to do it without any problems using the “OS Downgrade” menu option.

I am curious, do you mind being a bit more specific regarding the issues you faced with 7.2.5?

Sure, when I attempt to play an TV show or Movie on my TV using Plex Client app, where Plex media server is installed on UnRaid as Docker app, I got long pauses during viewing. The movie would play for about 1 minute, pause (the Plex rotating circle) for about 30 seconds, then play for about 1 min, then pause again ... making it impossible to view a movie on my Plex server. This issue started to happen AFTER upgrading UnRaid from 7.2.4 to 7.2.5.

The solution to downgrade back to 7.2.4 has worked.

So it seems there is some incompatibility issue in 7.2.5 with Plex Media server.

There's no such incompatibility, or there would be 1000 posts here. If you are using a Nvidia for transcoding, there may be an issue with its driver, that's a common issue for users upgrading.

So why does 7.2.4 work with my existing nVidia driver? So 7.2.5 broke some compatibility with nVidia driver? So I don’t really understand your statement as it seems more “defensive” than “proactive”.

Does anyone know if the nVidia Driver issue was resovled in Unraid 7.3.1? I'm running an nVidia RTX4060

I reviewed your link and that seems like A LOT of risky work just to make Unraid 7.2.5+ work ... hoping I don't have to do that with 7.3.1?

No matter which version of Unraid you are running, you need to select the correct version of Nvidia driver. This is due to how Nvidia fractured their drivers, in support of new Products and making others End Of Life. Fortunately, the Nvidia Plugin allows you to select the proper one (at least for every version of 7.x.x).

At the time of this post:

v580.x - For Pascal (such as P400) and older, though some Docker containers no longer support cards older than Pascal. These are all EOL.

v595.x thru v610.x - Turing through RTX (except RTX 50 Series)

Open Source Branch - RTX 50 Series

Ok, followed the nVidia driver setup and plex check and all seems to be working. So now I'll try 7.2.5 to 7.3.1 and see how that goes.
