hi i am still failry new to unraid and am having an issue with getting my system to see an hba controller i am trying to add

i have tried all my pci slots and cables have all been confirmed to work

i am not sure what the next steps would even be soo hopefully someone has some direction/solution?

Go to Tools - System Devices and see if the controllers shows there.

thank you this is a good lead, i am see a bunch of lines saying host bridge under pcie so i am hoping that is it? here is what i see tho for more info

so i guess the issue is if it is in fact seeing the how do i get teh system to see the drives i have plugged into the card?

Which brand/model HBA do you have?

No LSI HBA is being detected by Linux, try another PCIe slot or see if it's detected in a different PC.

okay thank you! i have tested it in all the pcie slots, i dont have another pc around to test it in at the moment but i did test the pcie slots with the ethernet card and that does not seem be the issue

i dont know if maybe its an issue with the hba compatability with the board ? or if you have any other suggestions or other solution for expansion

Could be, or the HBA is dead.

i got a replacement card and it still isnt showing, so it seems i need to look into board compatability
