Intel Atom - D945GCLF. Anyone going to try one?

Featured Replies

I'm pondering building something out of one of the low-power boards, such as:

My goal is to try and get a low of standby power usage as possible.  So, maybe Mini-ITX board with a PCI Sata card (to get 4 sata ports total).

Any other ideas for low power stuff?  Just use regular board with low voltage celeron?

Search the forums for ITX, and you'll get a number of other threads concerning ITX-type boards and low power ideas.

I built one (actually 2) Search the forums and see my hyperlink at the bottom.

How low power are you expecting though? I could not get under 40 watts, then again, I choose beefier processors.

The jetway was an AMD Geode 1.8ghz, The MSI is a duo core 2 2.33.

You may have an issue with that lan port so be prepared to recompile the kernel and create a new bzroot.
