best guess is you ran out of memory.

Since you have a lot of customizations and plugins, I'm moving this to the customizations forum.  they may give advice.

i don't see how upgrading to a new version results in running out of memory (4gigs should be more than enough) i have not added any user customization.....i don't see your logic in this

My logic would be that RC4 uses a little more memory due to additions to the base code than RC3.  So with all of your pluging you pushed unRAID over the top.  I would see if you still have the same problems after disabling the plugins.  If you don't then reenable them one at a time until you have a problem also watching your memory usage while all of this is going on.  Could be an incompatiblity in a plugin that cause it to eat your memory up also and by doing this testing you can find out if any of it is true or not.

Easy... different operating system libraries are involved.  It could be as simple as one in rc4 having a memory leak when used by one of your add-ons, or being less tolerant of memory leaks.

dont have time ....

in which case, why should anyone take the trouble to find time to advise you?

Unless you assist the developer, any problems are still likely to be there in final!
