Hello guys and girls. I moved recently and took my Unraid server down. I'd like to get up and running again and no longer have my flash drive. I was wondering how I reset my license onto a new flash drive?

You will need to do the following:

• Get a new flash drive to use if you do not already have it

• Install the latest Unraid version for which your licence is valid onto it.

• Boot from the flash drive, and then in the Unraid GUI go to Tools->Registration to get the GUID for the flash drive.

• If your server was previously registered with Unraid connect you can get the old licence file. Putting that into the 'config' folder on the flash drive and rebooting will then take yo through the licence transfer process when you go to Tools->Registration.

• If you cannot get the licence via Unraid Connect then contact support. You will need to give the email address associated with your previous licence and also provide the GUID for the new one. They should then be able to provide a licence file for the new flash drive (and blacklist the old one).

Take this opportunity to choose a good quality USB drive.

Cheap Amazon drives are a common source of problems.
