May 29May 29 Hi all,I did buy new hardware for my current Unraid server, part of this was new motherboard (ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. TUF GAMING B550-PLUS WIFI II) and disks (see screenshot)While performing parity the diskspeed was ~220Mb sec. There is an onboard 2.5Gb NIC (realtek) onboard in the server. When I copy data from the Unraid server to my NAS (attached to the same 2.5Gb switch) I get ~80Mb secWhen I copy from external hdd attached to the Unraid server to my NAS I get ~130Mb secI used large files to copy to get best resultsSo when I copy data from the array it is slower then when I copy form attached external hddI did also try with an intel based NIC but this does not solve the issue either Is there anything that I am missing? A setting or configuration somewhere? Thanks in advanceFUBorg

If you are writing to the array with the default writing mode, try turbo write https://forums.unraid.net/topic/50397-turbo-write/
May 29May 29 Author Hi,I did enable turbo write but unfortunately this did not improve the speed.Guess I just need to accept the ~80Mb sec speed.thanks for the advice / help.FUBorg
May 30May 30 With Turbo Write, it should be faster than that, assuming no controller bottleneck and it's writing to only one disk at a time. Please post the diagnostics during a large file transfer.
May 31May 31 Author Hi, sorry for the delay in answering (I had several birthday parties to go to). After rebooting the speed seems to have improved, even peaking above 100Mb sec.I will keep an eye on this the coming days.
