June 19, 201214 yr This might not be the correct place to ask this, but I have tried using the support email several times and have never gotten any response. I'm trying to find out when any of the servers will be in stock for purchase? Every one of them shows out of stock and since I cant get ahold of anyone and there is no phone number to call, I'm at a dead end. Thanks for any info anyone can provide!
June 19, 201214 yr At the moment.. They are not selling servers. Limetech announced a few months back "that there is a new design they are getting ready to sell". There has been no update on the price, design or availability since then. If you are looking for a pre-built server that is designed for unRAID, I would take a look at http://www.greenleaf-technology.com/ Edit: here was that announcement and last we heard: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=19819.msg176098#msg176098
June 19, 201214 yr Author Thanks for the info! I would have thought they would have that info on the actual website to inform customers that they are in the process of getting new servers to sell. Thanks for the Greenleaf link!! Since I'm new to all of this, let me tell you what I'm trying to do so hopefully you can give me some good pointers: 1. Have a Dune HD Duo with 2 HDD's install and are maxed out with blu-ray ISO's. Also have 2 external 3TB Western Digital drives that are maxed as well so was looking at getting one of the Lime Tech servers to gain more storage, etc. 2. With the Greenleaf servers, it looks like the unRaid already comes installed on their servers because it says "cost of your unRaid registration key is included in the cost of your server....." So does that mean I will not have to purchase the flashdrive because its already installed on the server?? 3. There is an Eco line and a Pro line on the Greenleaf servers. I would like this to be as simple as possible for me to use. Basically just want to purchase some 3TB HDD's pop them in and be ready to go. I know I might have to do some setup with the unRAID thing as far as parity drive and shares and all, but which way should I go, Eco or Pro?? Thanks for any info you might be able to share!!
June 19, 201214 yr Your assumptions are correct. I'll let Rajahal or Prostuff1 answer your questions in more detail. They are great guys to work with and will help you get your server tuned just how you need it.
