why does a failed update return unraid to white background and Tower name

on my sisters unraid i was doing update through the Connect

but via over the internet.. and i wasnt home at the time to do the reboot.. nore did i notice if it finishes

but i guess it failed her home assistant wasnt working.. and she rebooted with the reset button as unraid becomes unresponsive, you no longer have access to it except reset button

but now when i log in the background is white an name is tower... why does this happen

i know it happens when i do manual updating where i just copy over the bz files of the flash drive i found i gotta put also in the /previous folder

or unraid locks up

but why does it happen through the connect cant do logs and i trying to use least one of the backups to restore.. is it just a file that buggers things up? a file in the flash backup just to copy
