June 20, 201214 yr I changed the root password since I could not get into one of my shares. Now I am locked out. I have switch off the power supplies. Then, temporarily put the flash drive in your PC, and then delete the "config/passwd" file. Used - User: root / Pass: blank I have started it up again and I still cannot get in? Do I have to start from scratch again? Is there a way to keep my shares unharmed? Thank you, Jim
November 6, 201312 yr I did not see this thread until it was too late. I did not forget my password, but being totally new to unRaid and Linux in any form, I did not know that "$" was not allowed. I added a password for UN root and added a new UN as well. Both passwords had "$" in them .... Hard to redo my entire parity-synch again ... with 3 x 3 TB drives, I am going to be waiting another good 12+ hours :'( Oh the agony ....
