Server nonresponsive after a period of time

Featured Replies

I'm after a litter bit of help please.

I'm having my server not responding to anything via the GUI or network, no SSH connection.

Only way i am about to get it back is if i have logged in previously into the console, but this is very slow to respond.

If i haven't previously logged into it, when i try, i enter the username and it sits there, then comes back and says no response for 60sec and takes me back to the login prompt

If i am logged in i can run /etc/rc.d/rc.nginx restart and that takes about 10-15min to restart it which brings everything back online.

I have a user script that is meant to restart the nginx servers every 2 hrs to resolve this because it has been happening for a while and most of the time it doesn't affect my day-to-day usage, but it seems to be happening a lot more when using it.

Sometimes it can last a week or more before i notice anything like this

if someone is able to look at the logs for me, I have attached the diagnostics and the syslog files that would be much appreciated

Thanks

Sever is constantly running out of RAM, only about 66 MB was free in the normal zone, which was already below the kernel's minimum watermark.

The biggest consumers appear to be Docker containers; stop then and retest, or try to limit their RAM usage.

Thanks JorgeB

That's was I was afraid of, I will work on reducing the dockers and see what I can come up with.

Damn those ram prices
