Need help, server completely unusable

Featured Replies

Long story, I was having issues with my server not running right, lag when streaming from Plex, connection issues with Audiobookshelf, the web interface was very slow, the terminal window crashed regularly when using it and many more issues. I thought it was the cache ssd drive so I replaced that, then I thought it was the flash drive so I replaced that. Now the system boots but the interface is still very laggy and the terminal window still crashes when trying to use it. I have upgraded to 7.3.1 and have enable internal boot from the new ssd drive. I have backups of all of my dockers from Appdata Backup but I can't get them to restore. At the moment my server is useless and none of my dockers are working. I'm not sure where to go next. I've attached my diagnostic file and I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction to get everything working again.

The diagnostics show that the docker.img file is corrupt so you might want to delete it and the reinstall your containers via Apps->Previous Apps to keep their settings intact. Since such corruption can often indicate RAM issues could be worth running memtest first.

In addition you could do with getting all your files for the 'appdata' and 'system' shares located on the' cache' pool for best performance. At the moment the diagnostics show:

appdata shareUseCache="prefer" # Share exists on cache, disk12, disk13

system shareUseCache="only" # Share exists on cache, disk13

For the 'system share you need to set the array as 'secondary' if you want any of its files to be moved.

You should then temporarily disable the Docker and VM services under Settings and run mover to get files transferred (they keep files open which stops them being transfered).

Note that mover will not overwrite existing files if you have duplicates so at the end check if there are still some files on array drives. In such a case you need to manually decide which copy to keep and delete the other one. You can use the Unraid built-in File Manager for this.

When you have all files for these two shares on the 'cache' pool you can remove the Secondary Storage option and then make sure you have Settings->Global Share Settings->Permit exclusive shares set to yes which will then give better performance for those shares as it will bypass the Fuse layer used in Unraid.

You also have a larger number of out-of-date and deprecated plugins which could also be a source of problems so you should tidy this up:
