WoL broken after switching to 2.5G port (Realtek RTL8125) - Switch drops 10M link

Hopefully, someone here can help me fix a persistent issue I'm having with Wake on LAN (WoL).

Everything used to work perfectly fine when I was using the 1G Intel port. However, I recently switched to the 2.5G Realtek port, and WoL stopped working entirely.

The culprit seems to be my switch, which is incredibly stubborn, haha! It completely refuses to maintain a connection at 10Mbps, requiring at least a 100Mbps link. When the server powers down, the Realtek NIC drops its speed to 10M, and the switch just drops the port link completely.

I already tried using ethtool in my go file. However, if I hardcode it to 100M, the server stays locked at 100Mbps during normal operation as well, instead of running at the full 2.5G speed.

I'm looking for a way to keep 2.5G while the server is running, but force the NIC to negotiate at 100M (instead of 10M) only when going to sleep/powering off. Has anyone faced this or found a working workaround in Unraid?

Here is my hardware setup:

• CPU: Intel Core Ultra 255

• Motherboard: ASRock B860I WiFi

• 2.5G NIC: Realtek RTL8125 2.5GbE (The one I want to use)

• 1G NIC: Intel I219-V
