It's a mystery to me why they even make two... Anyway... I found a good offer on a IBM M1015 card in Germany I "had to" order - so I did... One of the steps is to backup the existing SBR but I don't believe that is the WHOLE firmware. I would ask on the thread I posted a link too. It should be possible to get it back I would think. I didn't bother because I will not be selling my 5 and I do not want it as a raid card. You can burn a raid mode on it (5IR.bat) but I have a feeling it isn't the same as the original firmware.
