7.3.0 Parity Drive Read Errors - WD Red Pro

Featured Replies

Hello,

One of my two parity drives is showing 27 errors on the Main tab. I'm relatively new to Unraid and need some help deciphering what the server is telling me, question would be:

Is the drive relatively fine? Maybe I should look to swap the drive ASAP?

I've attached the SMART and Diagnostic files.

The drive giving errors is a 22TB WD Red Pro that has 750~ days left for warranty. I live 4 hours away from where I set the Unraid server up at, so 8 hours round trip. I'd probably do an Advanced Warranty Replacement so I can have the replacement drive shipped to the offsite location where this it at when I also head over there.

I first realized something was up when the Notification tray his showed this for the past few days:
Warning - array has 1 disk with read errors

Warning - current pending sector is 8

Notice - array health report [FAIL]

I then ran the SMART extended self-test and downloaded diagnostics based off of information I saw from other people posting online.

Yep, SMART test failed, so it should be replaced.
