May 23, 200818 yr One thing we dont talk alot about is cables. Where I am 8 sata2 cables can cost as much as a 8 port sata card. So i took the opportunity to try out some very cheap cables when i was placing an order for something else. Newlink 45cm and 90cm SATA2 latching cables only cost a couple of bucks each. They a UV reactive and my first impressions they are quality items. In fact from look and feel alone they are way better than the cables supplied with my uber expensive Adaptec RAID card. The cable themselves are quite stiff which is my preference. The latches work well and are easy to add and remove. they come packaged in individually a cellophane bag which is better than the typically loose ones you get or theose terrible heat selaed plastic boxes that take 10 hours to open. Will post back if they cause any problems in longer term operation. But at this point they are a bargain.
