July 13Jul 13 I've got an 2x X710-DA2's - one in my pfSense SFF box, and one in my Unraid server - and I'm using the ASUS QG-U1080 with some 10Gtek DAC's going from pfsense to the ASUS Switch, and the second SFP+ with another DAC going to the Unraid server....I get WAN on the pfSense box through a Intel 10Gtek RJ45 to SFP+ Tranceiver, and everyones right they get hot as heck.Before I go buy one of those Realtek RTL8127AT cards and just use another SFP+ to RJ-45 tranceiver in the switch to do 10G over RJ45 ethernet, has anyone experienced this? The link works and I can access the dashboard, ping, and all that. I've bridged the two SFP ports on the Unraid server together as br2...here's just a snippet.By the way, each port on the X710-DA2 is in its own IOMMU group - 18 and 19 - straight by itself with no PCI bridge. I haven't tried the other SFP+ port on the Unraid's X710-DA2, but the fact that its working fine right now makes me curious - why is the link going down at all? my pfSense box is the same in every way - except running pfSense, I mean hardware. Its link doesnt go down at all, ever. Been rock solid.
