I replaced hardware in my unraid server a few months ago and over time I have an issue that seems to be getting worse and worse. The server is either crashing, locking up, or at least losing network connectivity so I can't get to it.

Anyway it might stay up for a few weeks to a few days before it happens. I've tried most recently to shutdown all docker apps to see if that helped, it didn't. I ran a memtest when this first started and it passed. I enabled the syslog server and see a few things such as:

I would start by running memtest, but I see that you are using a 14700K, so there's a high chance it's the Intel 13/14 gen issue, also look for a BIOS update, it may help if the CPU is not too far gone.

I forgot to mention I did do a mem test. It passed.

I’ll check for another bios update, I did one when I built the system but maybe there’s a new one.

Memtest should be ran minimum 24 hours

Hey, good to read I am not the only one having this problem. I am running an old i7-8700, 16 GB of RAM, couple of drives, nothing special and I used an old version of Unraid (which was really stable) for a long time and I recently upgraded to 7.3.x (today to 7.3.2, 🤞).

The issue I have is, my Unraid server is the only server actually running 24/7 and I tried running a syslog server on a laptop of some sort, but the crashes are too irregular to keep it up all that time.

Symptons I noticed:

• Unraid web interface down / unreachable

• Dockers are down

• Monitor still shows the terminal, responds actually.

I have uploaded my hardware profile here, not sure this helps though.

First I thought it was my 10Gbps ethernet adapter, or the network configuration (it had 2 interfaces then), but it still happens with the 10Gbps removed.

Replaced the memory (ok, not because of this, but because of wanting to upgrade).

Running a local syslog server did not help. It stops reporting when the device gets unreachable and starts after a reboot. I'll convert my gaming PC to a 24/7 running syslog server. I wonder if the same thing happens though, as it seems network related somehow?
