Unraid not booting from internal boot NVME after swap to internal boot. Old USB still boots but all dockers missing

Featured Replies

So I tried to use the tools to swap from USB boot to internal boot. ran through the wizard selected boot and pool option with 16gb for boot, prompted to reboot machine, now doesn't boot from internal boot nvme,

if I let it boot without the USB drive in I get an splash screen giving me the option to boot to Unraid but fails with the below:

error fs/zfs.zfs.c:mzap_lookup:2159: file bzimage not found

error: loader/i386/linux.c:grub_cmd_initrd:1082 you need to load the kernel first

if I use the USB device unraid boots on the fixed IP address and I can access the GUI with the username and password but no dockers are showing once I start the array.

if i got back to tools and internal boot and select the NVME drive again, I get a warning saying

"Selected drive warnings

These selected drives already contain internal boot partitions. Continuing will reconfigure them.

Any ideas on what I can do to get it all back and working either on the internal boot or back to the USB with the dockers back.

[edit]

OK, slight progress, for some reason I noticed that after booting with the USB, my cache drive wasn't assigned so assigned that started the array and not my dockers are back so looks like the docker. still not sure while the internal boot failed.

made some slight progress on the dockers not appearing.

error fs/zfs.zfs.c:mzap_lookup:2159: file bzimage not found

error: loader/i386/linux.c:grub_cmd_initrd:1082 you need to load the kernel first

I would recreate the boot pool/disk.

Boot from usb, erase the internal boot drive, remove the boot pool, and re-run the wizard

That sounds like the internal boot pool wasn't correctly created.

Great thanks I will look at doing that now, just want to double check all my backups again before starting.
