August 6Aug 6 Anyone know what might be causing the speed from my external USB drive to be so much slower (down from 150+MBps on Synology to 60+MBps on Unraid) than what it was when using the exact same cables and hardware when transferring from my old Synology NAS? Is it because I installed the Unassigned Devices plugin instead of the Unassigned Devices Plus plugin (my drives are formatted in exFAT)? Thanks.

August 7Aug 7 Community Expert 60MB/s is around the normal expected speed for array with the default writing method; you should be able to get faster speeds (at the expense of all drives spinning up for writes) with turbo write https://forums.unraid.net/topic/50397-turbo-write/If you need even faster options, instead of the array, you can use a raidz pool, but that also has some disadvantages vs the array, mostly regarding flexibility.
August 7Aug 7 Community Expert Copying directly to the party protected array can be significantly affected by the overhead of keeping parity in sync as described here in the online docs. You may get better performance by enabling Turbo Write mode at the expense of having to have all drives spun up while writing.
