August 7Aug 7 Problem:There are certain docker containers that end up taking my unraid server.Symptoms:Unraid WebGUI not accessible for a long time.Cannot SSH for a long time.Docker table reports docker service failed to startOne I'm able to gain access to the WebGUI or SSH (after maybe 10 minutes).Cannot restart docker service.Cannot stop array (Retry unmounting disk share(s), usually the cache mount).Work Around:I wait for the Unraid to eventually become responsive (10+ minutes), then I reboot the Unraid server. Log (diagnostics attached):Aug 7 09:27:09 Tower kernel: oom-kill:constraint=CONSTRAINT_NONE,nodemask=(null),cpuset=34f289fa4d751b6fd7ec80edacd084b317c9bdd3b4d60e97234da4c61ca3f1d2,mems_allowed=0,global_oom,task_memcg=/docker/34f289fa4d751b6fd7ec80edacd084b317c9bdd3b4d60e97234da4c61ca3f1d2,task=redis-server,pid=63528,uid=999Aug 7 09:27:09 Tower kernel: Out of memory: Killed process 63528 (redis-server) total-vm:59990088kB, anon-rss:59956104kB, file-rss:800kB, shmem-rss:0kB, UID:999 pgtables:117420kB oom_score_adj:0Other Information:I suspect the docker container "AutoHeal" is the cause of the problem. Every time I update/restart the container, the Unraid server has problem. Though the log does mention a "redis-server", the problem doesn't happen until I update Autoheal docker container. I am less concerned about the container problems, and a lot more concerned that Unraid or the Docker service is not more defensive and protecting the Unraid system.I've also experienced other docker container problems that take down the Unraid server. For example, if a docker container has a problem and has the restart option, I suspect the container that has a problem will end up in a infinite restart loop crashing the docker service and hanging the Unraid server.Wish:For Unraid to be defensive against Docker container problems.I don't want containers impacting core Unraid functionality.Thank you tower-diagnostics-20260807-0927.zip
August 7Aug 7 Community Expert My first suggestion would be to try recreating the Docker folder as an image; I've seen many strange issues with folders.https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/troubleshooting/common-issues/docker-troubleshooting/#re-creating-the-docker-image-fileThen:https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/troubleshooting/common-issues/docker-troubleshooting/#reinstalling-docker-applicationsAlso see below if you have any custom docker networks:https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/troubleshooting/common-issues/docker-troubleshooting/#restoring-docker-custom-networks
