21 hours ago21 hr I have a mix of SAS and SATA and i use the sas spin down plugin. It was all working fine but today noticed my drives just not spinning down like they used to.The only major change is the upgrade to 7.3.2 and i moved my arrs and downloaders over from another server. - all mappings are good and cache is used properly here.Ive observed when i spin them down manually, they have up to about 5 mins before they get hit with a 2-8KB/s read and spin up. The file activity plugin shows no read at all but it is working when i tested it with a plex stream, it showed the read just fine.Ive seen some similar posts, im guessing this is an unraid bug. I have downgraded to 7.3.1 still the same, i need to try 7.3.0 as some have had success - diagnostics attachedhercules-diagnostics-20260811-1239.zip
21 hours ago21 hr Community Expert SAS disks dont play nice with spin downknown causes of disk spinup are appdata on the wrong disk(s)HomeAssistant unraid integration that polls the disks zfs master reads snapshots from zfs disks. There are no known bugs to my knowledge causing disk spinupStart by disabling all docker containers (stop the entire service) as well as disabling the VM service. If disks still spin up, disable plugins (reboot into safe mode or use the same mode plugin)also make sure you dont have any open SMB/NFS connections. as browsing the shares from another pc will wake them Edited 20 hours ago20 hr by MowMdown
