I am trying to upgrade my server but only have 1gb of space on my 4gb flash drive. What would be the best way to clear up unnecessary files on my flash drive without deleting anything crucial that will prevent it from booting? I looked through the flash drive with unRAID's file manager but couldn't find any obviously large files that are not needed.

Would now be a good time to switch from flash drive booting to internal booting? I haven't looked into the process, but flash booting has been working for me for the past 16 years, that I'm scared to mess with it.

4GB should be enough to be able to upgrade via the GUI, although occasional housekeeping to get rid of extra files might be necessary.

You can always delete the contents of the Logs folder before trying to upgrade via the GUI. If necessary you can also delete the Previous folder.

You can always also use Manual Install method which needs less free space on the flash drive.

It would be perfect timing for you to upgrade to a durable industrial USB flash drive at the minimum cost.

So I just select the "Previous" folder on the flash drive from unRAID's file manager and delete it without causing any issues? Same for opening the logs folder, selecting all of the files and deleting them?

Yes.

You can also delete the preclear_reports folder.

Not sure what that Android folder is? Maybe it is not needed either.

Awesome. I deleted the contents of the "Previous" folder as well as the Android folder and was able to successfully update the OS. Thanks!
