14 hours ago14 hr Evening all, I am looking to build a “new” server with Unraid on an old Dell Inspiron I have available. Problem is, it only has space for 1HD in the case and I’d like to use more than one ;-). So, what is the best-supported way to do this? The specifics are as follows:The computer is a Dell Inspiron, vintage 2020-something. Intel-based, 32GB memory. It has three internal SATA 3.0 ports, but the chipset does not support sata port multipliers.USB 3.2 Gen 1One PCIe 16X slot and one PCIe 1X slot, but I want to add 5/10gb Ethernet, which will need one of thoseOne M.2 2230 slot vacant, but that’s designed for Wi-Fi: I’ve never tried using it for storage. Guessing it would work, but not certain. So, I want to add support for several hard drives, but given the often flaky nature of USB enclosures, I’d rather go with something more reliable than a USB enclosures if possible. Anybody got any suggestions more elegant than long SATA cables and sata power extensions sitting in a big pile on top of the case?
