Very Slow Parity Sync on new build

Featured Replies

brand new Unraid user

brand new UGreen DXP4800 8 GB RAM running UNRAID 7.3.2, have not tweaked any config yet

boot disk 256 GB SSD

Cache 1 TB SSD

Raid Array 2x8GB HDD, 1x4GB HDD

Parity Drive 8GB HDD

I installed the drives, zeroed them out, formatted them, and then started a parity sync. They do not contain any data or shares yet

Sync writes to my parity drive are under 20 MB/s, and its estimating 5 days to complete

Any ideas what might be causing this, or how to fix it?

I do not see anything obvious in the diagnostics although it does look like there is some application reading (and possibly writing) from disk2 which might explain the performance issue. If you can identify which application it is then it will be worth stopping it to see if parity sync performance improves

You have something very odd going on.

can you post a screenshot of the MAIN page where the disks are assigned.
