After monthly parity check, Parity 2 is now disabled with errors.

Featured Replies

Just logged into my server today and noticed that Parity 2 had a red x icon next to it. Also noticed that it was disabled and the disk is listed under Unassigned Disk Devices. Any advice on what the issue may be?

Thanks in advance!

Syslog shows constant ATA errors with parity and parity2, check/replace cables for both, then resync parity2. Also, any power splitters in use?

I have replaced the Sata cables just in August cause my Disk 2 was having issues. As for power splitters, it's been so long since I built it but it is a possibility that I used one.

Recommend checking that, since it's very possible it's something both disks have in common.

Do you think they are just loose or replacing them?

If it's a splitter, recommend replacing it, or better yet, stop using one if possible. Also, if it's a SATA to SATA splitter, make sure it's not splitting one plug to more than two.
