Enabling AFP causes files to be unaccessable

Featured Replies

I made the mistake of enabling AFP on Disk4.

Now I cannot access any files or folders on Disk4 from PC or Mac.

Also the files in Shares i.e. Video files that reside on Disk4 are not accessible through the Share.

I have subsequently turned off AFP and left SMB enabled on Disk4.

I have tried running New Permissions without any luck.

Any I deas how to get the data on Disk4 accessable again?

Running new permissions did not work.

Neither did rebooting the Mac or PC

The final resolve was from the Mac with Hidden files viewable:

    Open Terminal (/Applications/Utilities).

Type this, followed by a space: sudo chflags -R nouchg

Drag all the folders and files from Disk 4 into the Terminal window.

    Press Return.

Enter your password and press Return.

After a long wait the terminal window comes back.

I was then able to delete and open the folders in Disk 4
