Saturday at 01:46 AM2 days Hey all. just setup my 1st server using UnRaid. server fires up, and im able to login via the web UI. I followed the props to active my trial license, and then found the web UI wont reload. if i reboot the server, it comes back on, i can again login, see my dashboard and noticed array is listed as OFF. i cannot turn it on, it said something about missing key? then it freezes, and eventually gives me an error : 192.xxxx "refused to connect'' or 'took too long to respond"not looking online at my account, I see "license state: NO KEYFILE"ive activated my trial, but the code it gives me is the same one as listed that says NO KEY FILE.I wiped the flashdrive and reinstalled the OS, then tried again, but nothing changed.not sure what to do, or why everything stops working after a few minutes? is it because I have the boot folder on my internal hard drive?
Saturday at 02:18 AM2 days Community Expert Do you mean you configured it for internal boot? You still need the flash drive for trial license.
Saturday at 02:27 AM2 days Author I did set it up for internal boot originally. I've been using the flash drive since I re downloader the OS onto it
Saturday at 06:26 AM2 days Community Expert Enable the syslog server and then post that after an event, together with free diagnostics after the reboot.
Saturday at 04:43 PM1 day Author I will do my best, but I have a very limited time to access before everything freezes.I can use the terminal and "diagnostics" command right?
Saturday at 07:04 PM1 day Author I think I figured it out. Not sure how to fix it, but figured it out. Somehow, my flash drive is listed as an array drive, and the internal SSD is listed as boot drive. However, the system was booting off the flash drive, which was then being shut down because my license key issue. I'm simply booting from the SSD now, and it works. However, I suspect my flash drive is actually where the key is stored, not the SSD.
Saturday at 07:13 PM1 day Author Solution Got it! I was right, there was no key file in the SSD, just in the USB drive. But I couldn't boot off the USB drive because I didn't have a key. So I finally figured out I could access the boot drive files, made a copy of the key and then uploaded the key file into the config folder. Everything works now!!!
