October 31Oct 31 Hi all,I wanted my servers to look like something out of Night City, so I built a cyberpunk theme for the Unraid webGUI and cleaned it up to share. It is now a proper plugin: install it from the Plugins page and switch palettes from a settings page, with a live preview.GitHub: https://github.com/liekos47/unraid-cyberpunk-themeWHAT IT ISA dark, neon theme layered over the stock webGUI: near-black panels, angular cut corners, Rajdhani and Orbitron type, flat usage bars and outlined buttons. It comes with nine palettes, so you can give each server its own colour and tell them apart at a glance.Cyberpunk 2077netrunner: red headings, cyan values (default)relic: acid yellow and electric bluephantom-liberty: crimson and silver on red-blackCyberpunk: Edgerunnersedgerunner: jacket yellow on black with speed-trail green (inspired by David)lunar: hot pink and cyan on deep violet (inspired by Lucy)Neonmidnight: cyan and electric blue on midnight blueneon-night: hot pink and cyan dual neon on blue-blackMass Effectnormandy: title blue and HUD teal with renegade orange, sampled from the original game's menus and HUDn7: N7 red with white and steel accents, after the N7 armour (the game's own red, and the white and steels of the N7 Elite medal)SCREENSHOTSsettings pagehttps://raw.githubusercontent.com/liekos47/unraid-cyberpunk-theme/main/docs/screenshots/settings.pngnetrunnerhttps://raw.githubusercontent.com/liekos47/unraid-cyberpunk-theme/main/docs/screenshots/netrunner.pngrelichttps://raw.githubusercontent.com/liekos47/unraid-cyberpunk-theme/main/docs/screenshots/relic.pngphantom-libertyhttps://raw.githubusercontent.com/liekos47/unraid-cyberpunk-theme/main/docs/screenshots/phantom-liberty.pngedgerunnerhttps://raw.githubusercontent.com/liekos47/unraid-cyberpunk-theme/main/docs/screenshots/edgerunner.pnglunarhttps://raw.githubusercontent.com/liekos47/unraid-cyberpunk-theme/main/docs/screenshots/lunar.pngmidnighthttps://raw.githubusercontent.com/liekos47/unraid-cyberpunk-theme/main/docs/screenshots/midnight.pngneon-nighthttps://raw.githubusercontent.com/liekos47/unraid-cyberpunk-theme/main/docs/screenshots/neon-night.pngnormandy (Mass Effect)https://raw.githubusercontent.com/liekos47/unraid-cyberpunk-theme/main/docs/screenshots/normandy.pngn7 (Mass Effect)https://raw.githubusercontent.com/liekos47/unraid-cyberpunk-theme/main/docs/screenshots/n7.pngINSTALLIn the webGUI, go to Plugins > Install Plugin, paste this URL and press Install:https://raw.githubusercontent.com/liekos47/unraid-cyberpunk-theme/main/cyberpunk-theme.plgThen open Settings > User Utilities > Cyberpunk Theme, or click the plugin's icon on the Plugins page:Theme: pick a palette. It previews on that page straight away, with its colour swatches.Apply keeps it on every page. No reboot, no script.Reset to default switches the theme off and brings back the stock Unraid look. The plugin stays installed, so you can pick a theme again at any time.Unraid reinstalls the plugin at every boot and keeps your choice on the flash drive. Updates show on the Plugins page like any other plugin. The fonts (SIL Open Font License) are bundled, so nothing is downloaded at boot. Black is the recommended base theme (Settings > Display Settings).UPGRADING FROM THE MANUAL INSTALL (v1.x)If you installed an earlier version from the terminal, remove it first, then install the plugin as above:bash /boot/config/cyberpunk-theme/uninstall.sh rm -rf /boot/config/cyberpunk-themeThe first command removes the live theme and the lines it added to your go file. If you skip this, the old install puts itself back at every boot and replaces the plugin's files; the plugin's settings page warns you if it finds one. The manual install still works for anyone who prefers it, see the README.HOW IT WORKS (AND WHY IT IS SAFE)No Unraid file is modified. Unraid loads every plugin page marked Menu="Buttons" on every webGUI page, right after its own theme stylesheet. The theme is one of those pages, and it adds three stylesheets for the palette you picked. The stock themes are built on CSS variables, so the theme mostly remaps those, plus a few rules for shapes and for colours Unraid or plugins set directly. If a future Unraid update changes the page layout, the worst case is the stock theme showing through, never a broken page.Readability was checked properly: a script measured every piece of text against its real background on Dashboard, Main, Shares, Users, Settings, Plugins, Docker, VMs, Tools and Syslog, and every new palette was checked the same way on Dashboard, Main, Plugins and the settings page. Everything is at 4.5:1 contrast or better. The only exceptions are Unraid's own orange "Update Available" badge and the brief "checking..." text on the Plugins page.REVERT TO THE STOCK THEMEBack to the stock look, plugin kept: Reset to default on the settings page.Uninstall: Plugins > Installed Plugins, remove Cyberpunk Theme. Nothing is left on the server or the flash drive.Emergency switch, in case an Unraid update ever makes a page unreadable. From Tools > Terminal or SSH, then reload (delete the file to turn the theme back on):touch /boot/config/plugins/cyberpunk-theme/DISABLEDIf you switched the base theme to black for this, set it back in Settings > Display Settings (Unraid's default is white).YOUR OWN LOGOThe header shows an original placeholder mark. tools/make_icons.py turns any PNG of your own into the header logo plus matching favicons, which follow the array state (green started, red stopped, yellow in transition). Copy the PNGs it makes to /boot/config/plugins/cyberpunk-theme/icons/ and the plugin uses them from the next boot.MAKE YOUR OWN PALETTEA palette is one small CSS file with 16 colours. The repo has a step-by-step guide, an offline contrast checker and an in-browser contrast scan, so you can build one, check it and test it on your server without losing your setup: https://github.com/liekos47/unraid-cyberpunk-theme/blob/main/docs/DEVELOPING.mdNew palettes are welcome as pull requests.NOTESTested on Unraid 7.3.3 and needs 7.0 or later. It should work across 7.x, but I have only tested 7.3.3, so reports from other versions are very welcome.Fan-made and inspired by the look of Cyberpunk 2077, Edgerunners and Mass Effect. Not affiliated with CD PROJEKT RED, Studio Trigger, BioWare, Electronic Arts or Lime Technology. No game or show assets are included, only colour values. Thanks to the community member who asked for the midnight, neon-night and Mass Effect palettes, including N7.Feedback, bug reports and palette ideas are welcome here or on GitHub issues: https://github.com/liekos47/unraid-cyberpunk-theme/issuesRelease notes: https://github.com/liekos47/unraid-cyberpunk-theme/releasesIf you enjoy it and want to support more of this: https://ko-fi.com/liekos47Have fun, choombas. October 31Oct 31 Very cool. When I get some time, I'll test it out. Could you add a cyber blue theme for the heck of it? Something in this vein, but a Cyan or Midnight Blue variant? That's how I roll with my V LOL. I would even love to see a pink/cyan neon dual color night type of look. Just some thoughts. Thanks for the work on this! I'd love to see a Mass Effect theme as well, so maybe I'll take a look at your work and see if that can be done too. Cheers!

These look SICK!
Monday at 07:48 AM4 days I took a look at the repository, and I appreciate you adding custom instructions to make your own. I was thinking of doing a mainly red one with white accents like the Mass Effect N7 Armor. If you feel up to it, you could call this "N7" or "Spectre". Or maybe you should/could branch this to a set of Mass Effect themes that are its own repository? The possibilities are really endless. I noticed you are using Claude for commits, so maybe I'll do some tinkering and find out how far I can push this with AI LOL. I really like your approach by keeping this non-destructive and fully documenting how to rollback. Great work man! Edited Monday at 07:50 AM4 days by falconexe

Great work man!hey mate, Im planning to make it as a plugin with a list of themes in a list which includes all of these. Hopefully getting it done in a few days. Most of the my work were guiding Claude to the goal of the project, turning ideas to this were fun but code review were a pain haha. I'll keep you posted once it is done!

Great work man!hey mate I've made it as a plugin and you can pick N7 from the dropdown list to try on! And Claude asked me to pass his message to you, “Thanks! N7 is in, built from the game’s own red and the N7 Elite medal’s white and steel, and it’s coming with the new plugin version where you pick themes from a dropdown. If you tinker with your own palette, docs/DEVELOPING.md has the steps and the contrast check, and pull requests are welcome.”
