Issues with booting into rc5

Featured Replies

So I upgraded to rc5, and when I rebooted I got some VERY strange results.  My plugins are processed, and running...I can get to SAB, and Couchpotato...but samba doesn't seem to be running and the unraid web interface isn't running.

I'm not a novice user...but I'm more than a little lost right now.  Attached syslog, anyone got any ideas?

PS: I'm not frantic because I can see all my data when I log in and check the /mnt/ directory...so it looks like it's just a smb/emhttp issue....it would be nice to USE my media however ;)

You did disable all addons - packages, plugins etc., and return to a standard 'go' script before you upgraded?

As I was on rc3, I was only using v5 plg's.  Those are working fine, it's is emhttp that isn't working.

Innnnnteresting, apparently the plugin arch in 5.0  can error in such a way that it prevents the box from finishing a boot.  Not an ideal situation ;).

I'll try the plugins one by one and see if any of them cause errors that way so I can track down WHY a plugin could mess up smb and emhttpd.

Plugin at architecture is still in its infancy, there are a lot of things still left to be desired. One of which being a graceful way of failing... Something I'm looking at adding to my plugins in the interim.
