July 2, 201214 yr Is it possible to have plugins installed onto the flash drive? if so ...how? Thanks
July 2, 201214 yr You can, but doing so will likely result in killing your flash drive. Most plugins write constantly, and that's why you should put them on a cache only share.

It is perfectly fine to install a package to the flash drive IF IT DOES NOT CONSTANTLY WRITE TO THE FLASH DRIVE. If the package writes temp files, or download files to the flash drive, it will wear it out in short order. (possible in less than a week) So, as long as the temp files are to a disk, or to a in-memory file, there is no issue. You could always install a second FLASH drive, label it other than UNRIAD, mount it, and wear it out as often as you like by writing files to it constantly. At least when it wears out, it will not be the one with your unRAID key.
