Downloading nzb with ipad and moving to unraid

Featured Replies

I have sabnzbd running on unraid, with a nzb watched folder.

Now what i want to do is, using my ipad, and browsing to ftdworld.net, i would like to save the nzb and then copy it to the unraid folder.

Now here i have problems, i cant save locally with ipad, unless using dropbox, but that plugin for u raid isnt working here yet. Any ideas for other ways?

You could always save it to drop box and then on another pc "watch" the Dropbox folder and when it see's a new nzb copy it over to the Unraid. Not the most ideal but it would work.

Well im looking to do this with the unraid dropbox plugin and the sabnzb plugin , but its not working so far

Somehow unraid is making the dropbox and sabnzb folders as usershares too? Ay idea?

Go to the properties of the Share and under SMB Security pick no to Export.

It will still show up in the gui as Share but it will not be visible from the network.

Not sure why it does it, but if it is not visible from the network then what does it really matter? At least by it being created as a Share it makes the folder manageable from within the Gui.

I also had an issue with finding an easy way of getting NZB's from Safari on my iPad to Sabnzbd on my unraid server.

Eventually I found qouch its a frontend app which you use to manage addons like Sabnzbd, Sickbeard and Couch Potato all from your iPad, once you configure qouch with the details of each app you have installed on unraid your ready to rock.

One of the features I like is when you come across an nzb on a website within safari and click it, you will now have an option which says open with qouch, this will then pass the NZB to Sabnzbd for downloading.

I registered for the site you mentioned and it worked fine.

Hope that helps,

You've also reminded me about the dropbox app which would be very handy for adding NZB's when not at home. Must give it another look.
